Guidelines for Surface Grinder Maintenance

1. Before machining, start the hydraulic system and let it warm up for at least 5 minutes to ensure proper hydraulic function.

2. Engage the spindle hydraulics when mounting or removing the grinding wheel to prevent crushing or abrasive wear between the spindle and bearings. Ensure the spindle taper and chuck bore are clean.

3. After operation, stop the machine first, then shut down the hydraulics, and finally disconnect the power supply.

4. Clean the machine daily to prevent rust and maximize its precision and service life.

5. Keep hydraulic oil and spindle oil clean; replace filters regularly (spindle oil and filters should be changed annually).

6. During manual operation, move the X and Z axes within their travel limits; rapid impacts against the machine structure are strictly prohibited.

7. Do not use air guns on the table guideways or water to wash the spindle; this prevents grit and water from entering the guideways or spindle assembly and damaging the lubrication system.

8. Clean the machine daily and perform regular maintenance; establish a clear equipment maintenance protocol.

9. Regularly maintain and replace wear-prone components that determine machine precision and product quality-such as table bearings, spindle bearings, filters, and protective covers. Do not wait until a problem arises during production to perform replacements or repairs, as this could lead to defective products and production delays.

10. Regularly check the oil supply to the column and table guideways to prevent feed inaccuracies or guideway damage. If oil flow is obstructed, adjust the oil volume promptly to ensure the machine operates correctly.
