The CNC centreless grinding machine spindle features a proprietary, independently developed dual-hydrostatic front-support design. Characterized by pure fluid friction, it exhibits minimal frictional resistance, low power consumption, and high transmission efficiency. During both normal operation and frequent start-ups, direct metal-to-metal contact-and the resulting wear-is entirely eliminated, ensuring excellent precision retention and a long service life. Since the radial flotation of the shaft is achieved through external oil pressure, the system maintains a high load-bearing capacity across a wide range of relative speeds, with speed fluctuations having a negligible impact on the stiffness of the oil film. Furthermore, the lubricating oil layer provides excellent vibration-damping properties, ensuring smooth spindle rotation; the oil film also serves to compensate for errors, mitigating the impact of inherent inaccuracies between the shaft and the bearing itself, thereby delivering high rotational precision.
The CNC centreless grinding machine drive motor for the regulating wheel spindle utilizes a Delta servo motor, offering a digitally controlled speed range of 0–250 rpm. This allows for arbitrary speed setting to achieve the optimal surface speed; even as the outer diameter of the regulating wheel changes due to wear, the system maintains a constant surface speed, thereby ensuring the production of superior-quality workpieces.
The CNC centreless grinding machine servo motor is ingeniously mounted directly onto the regulating wheel housing and drives the spindle via a synchronous belt. This design allows the motor to tilt in unison with the regulating wheel during the grinding process, ensuring that the two pulleys remain perfectly parallel at all times. This configuration effectively overcomes the issues inherent in older-model centerless grinders-specifically, the inertia losses associated with multi-link chain drives and the various adverse effects caused by chain articulation angles. Furthermore, it eliminates the need for frequent replacement of drive chains and tension springs.
